Your statutory warranty rights

What does statutory warranty mean?

The statutory warranty applies automatically, without the need for an additional contract and at no cost to you. The seller is liable for defects that existed at the time of delivery of your vehicle and that become apparent within the warranty period.

When purchasing a new vehicle, it is valid for at least two years. For used vehicles, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year. The exact period can be found in your purchase agreement.

What rights do you have?

If a defect is discovered, you can, in particular, request a free repair or a free replacement delivery. In certain cases, you are entitled to a price reduction or can withdraw from the contract and demand the full reimbursement of the purchase price. In some cases, additional compensation may be available.

What should be done in case of a deficiency?

Report the problem to your seller as soon as possible, i.e., to us if you Ahorn Camp purchased the vehicle, or to the Ahorn Camp dealership where you purchased the vehicle. Please keep your proof of purchase available, such as your invoice or the sales contract.

Warranty and guarantee: the difference

The warranty is legally required and is automatically available to you as a consumer when purchasing. A guarantee, on the other hand, is a voluntary, additional benefit offered by the manufacturer or retailer. It supplements your statutory rights but never replaces or restricts them.
