Ahorn Camp wins European Innovation Award

Stuttgart. Ahorn Camp has won the coveted European Innovation Award in the Outdoor Design category at the CMT 2024 trade fair in Stuttgart. The award was presented for the outstanding Van 620 Irmscher which not only impresses with its innovative design, but also with its first-class functionality.

The CMT trade fair, the world's largest public trade fair for leisure and tourism and the largest vacation trade fair in Europe, provides the prestigious stage for the presentation of this coveted award. Dolde Medien Verlag from Stuttgart, publisher of the prestigious titles Reisemobil International, Camping Cars & Caravans and Camper Vans, is the initiator, patron and host of the European Innovation Awards. This was the 14th presentation of the awards in 2024. The innovation prizes were awarded in a total of 17 categories, ranging from exterior and interior design to camping accessories and overall concepts for motorhomes, camper vans and 4×4 campers.

The European Innovation Award recognizes companies that set standards in the leisure vehicle industry with their creative approaches and technological advances. Ahorn Camp successfully asserted itself against the competition in the Outdoor Design category and won over the expert jury with the innovative solutions of the Van 620 Irmscher convince.

The Van 620 Irmscher is characterized by its striking exterior, intelligent use of space and technological sophistication. The award-winning exterior design of the vehicle was specially developed for maximum functionality, comfort and aesthetics. Together with its renowned partner Irmscher Automobilbau, Ahorn Camp developed a dynamic Renault Master special model. With over 50 years of experience, the name Irmscher stands for quality, innovation, technical competence and motorsport expertise worldwide.

The impressive Irmscher features of the Van 620 model are evident both on the outside and inside the vehicle. The sporty body accents, the front spoiler and the 18-inch set of Heli-Star Design wheels with premium tires set the van apart in an impressive way. The eye-catching special stickers give the Edition a very modern look and are a fascinating eye-catcher on the road thanks to the cleverly placed accents. High-quality velour floor mats with step protection in the cab also ensure that comfort is not compromised.

The Van 620 Irmscher is equipped with a charging booster, a 130-watt solar system and a lithium battery, among other things. The innovative all-in-one control and infotainment system from Revotion makes camper life easier and more connected than ever before. The young company Revotion was honored in the Innovative Startup category. Thanks to the smart control of the vehicle with the Revotion Smartsystem not only includes smart battery monitoring, which can display the charging and discharging currents separately, but also shows the fill levels of the fresh water and waste water tanks as a percentage. The entire system is modular and can be expanded at any time with additional "nodes" if the start-up develops new functions in the future. Of course, over-the-air software updates are also included, as well as control via smartphone.
