Ahorn Camp Opens New Logistics Center in Speyer – Focus on Efficiency, Sustainability, and Strategic Growth
Speyer, December 2025 The motorhome provider Ahorn Camp has officially opened its new spare parts and accessories logistics center at its headquarters in Speyer. With an investment of around 750,000 euros and a construction time of only six months, the family company is setting a key milestone in its growth strategy and simultaneously optimizing its entire supply chain.
„We are creating the infrastructure here to serve our dealers faster and achieve our growth targets for 2026,“ explained Managing Director Alexander Reichmann at the opening ceremony in the presence of State Secretary Petra Dick-Walther, Mayor Stefanie Seiler, and nearly 30 other representatives from business and politics.
Technology and Sustainability as Success Factors
The new logistics center spans 400 m² and combines state-of-the-art storage technology for spare parts and accessories across two levels with a height of up to 6.5 meters. A specialized team of warehouse employees manages the entire flow of goods from here – from workshop supply to dealer delivery throughout Europe.
The building features a sustainable energy concept with solar panels, a completely off-grid power supply, and three electric charging stations. This allows the logistics center to operate with energy self-sufficiency, meeting high standards for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Solemn moment in Speyer: Alexander and Franziska Reichmann, together with State Secretary Petra Kick-Walther and Mario Daum from the City of Speyer, open the new logistics center of Ahorn Camp.
Cornerstone of the new partnership with the Erwin Hymer Group
With the production cooperation launched this year with the Erwin Hymer Group, Ahorn Camp is positioning itself for the next phase of growth. The common goal is to bring one of the most modern and highest quality motorhome generations in Europe to market – based on the new Renault Master. „The new logistics center creates the infrastructural basis for further growth, improved service quality, and sustainable corporate development,“ summarizes Alexander Reichmann.
Efficiency and Site Development in Speyer
By consolidating vehicle warehousing, spare parts logistics, the workshop, and delivery at the Speyer site, significantly more efficient processes and shorter turnaround times are achieved. The decision to invest in Speyer is also a clear commitment to the Rhineland-Palatinate region and to regional value creation: predominantly regional companies were involved in the construction – from planning and financing to technical equipment.
