From ambulance to recruiting mobile

Ahorn Camp converts an old ambulance into a modern recruiting vehicle for the Diakonissen-Stiftungs-Krankenhaus Speyer

"Get in - get on" is the motto under which the Diakonissen-Stiftungs-Krankenhaus Speyer is sending its new recruiting mobile to the Vorder- und Südpfalz region. Over the past few months, we have converted the decommissioned ambulance into a modern-looking training café on wheels at Ahorn Camp : The interior now offers space for a cozy seating area with a TV monitor, while a solar system on the roof provides environmentally friendly power for the coffee machine and integrated cool box. Four employees of the Diakonissen-Stiftungs-Krankenhaus Speyer advertise their respective professions on the outdoor areas.

When the request for the conversion came in January, Alexander Reichmann, Managing Director of Ahorn Camp GmbH, was immediately enthusiastic. He is also more than satisfied with the result: "Our workshop team completed the dismantling, technical conversion and interior work within a short space of time. We are delighted that we were able to support the Diakonissen-Stiftungs-Krankenhaus Speyer with this project."

Jonas Sewing, Managing Director of Diakonissen-Stiftungs-Krankenhaus Speyer and co-initiator of the project, is also convinced by the project: "We want to talk to young people in person and advise them individually on suitable training opportunities in the healthcare sector. And that simply works better in analog than in purely digital form."
